Exceptional Rescue Program
We are committed to working to end the horror of puppy mills through education, legislation and investigation. Until that day comes, hundreds of thousands of dogs spend their lives in misery in small cages in large scale breeding facilities only to be dumped like garbage when their usefulness comes to an end.
Our exceptional Rescue Program focuses on puppy mill, dog auction, and large scale surrender situations. When we hear about bulldogs that are going to be discarded or destroyed after having spent their entire lives breeding in a puppy mill, we step in where we can to give them the opportunity to live in a home and be loved.
Unfortunately, we can't save them all, but these are the stories of the lucky few that made it to a safe haven. Until we can put an end to puppy mills, thousands of mother dogs will remain in the mills throughout the United States.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Spread the word. Awareness is key. As long as people continue to buy dogs from pet stores and on the Internet, puppy mills will have a market.
Remember, reputable breeders do not sell their puppies to pet stores. Buying a puppy from a pet store may be tempting to "save the puppy", but it only perpetuates the problem as more puppies will be bred to fill the need and more adult females will suffer in the mills to supply the market.
The best way to stop an evil is to bring it out into daylight. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Don't be afraid to speak up for those that have no voice.
Our dream is that one day there will be no more puppy mills. Our hope is that one day our children will only know what a puppy mill is by reading about this long forgotten shameful practice in history books. Until that day comes we will do what we can to ease the suffering.
